It's been a while since I've updated here so I figure while I've got a minute - Griff and Schaeff sleeping and Lily busy with art supplies - I'll try to get up to speed.
It's busy times here. BJ continues to work steadily through seminary classes. He's taking an online elementary greek class. In addtion, he will be attending the Southern Baptist Convention in Orlando, with a weekend class in Kentucky about the SBC, in order to get 3 hours of on-campus credit. He's slated to take 2-3 classes this fall. Since we are in a more predictable schedule (read: sleeping a bit more) with Griffin, BJ is taking full advantage of this time to get some classes behind him. He's up early to get his reading done, and at night before bed he falls asleep with a textbook in hand...I believe this latest one is Baptists and the Bible. I will not lie, having a husband in seminary, who also works full-time, and who teaches and leads a Bible Fellowship class every Sunday morning, and who has 3 young children is not the easiest thing in the world. We are feeling a bit stretched. We are trying to be very purposeful with our free time because there's not much of it. We haven't watched a TV show in months.
The kids are all doing great. We are all set to go with River's Edge Christian Academy starting in August. The curriculum has been ordered, and we attended an informational parent meeting this past week. We met Lily's teacher at RECA and the other parents of the 7 kids (up from 5 just a month ago). The max. limit they will accept for this group is 10 so they could very well reach their max. before August. I'm excited for Fountain City to be getting something like this in our community.
Griffin started speech/feeding therapy two weeks ago. The therapy is okay, but he's still not eating solids any better. We just plod along in that area making small steps - he likes strawberry yogurt and he will sometimes tolerate the chunks in it. He still hasn't said his first word. Although, he loves the sound of certain words when we say them to him. It cracks him up when we say "disgusting!" He kackles and then repeats back "dadaduh!" Is it wrong that his first word might be "disgusting?" Not mama or dada, but disgusting!
Our friends the Holden's gave birth to their long awaited son, Cade. He is just perfect! Leslie had a long (28 hrs) and difficult labor and delivery but she was such a trooper. And she looked beautiful in the hospital - the new mom glow! They are home and getting settled into life with a newborn. I wish I had photos, but apparently I don't know how to use my new camera because the photos I took did not appear on the memory card when I got home. Uuuuggghhh. I'm so clueless with technology.

Hey Emily,
I have a Canon Rebel also and I was wondering were the pictures able to viewed on the playback mode on the camera? If so you possibly could have shot in RAW, if you shot in RAW you need a program like Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop or Bridge to view them. So they are possibly still there on the camera card as long as you didn't erase it. I hope this helps!
